Hello lovely readers!
It has been a while since I wrote a blog post last, but I am really happy today to talk to you about my latest big crochet project, a 3D framed art piece that I named Garden Growth!
My work recently organised an art competition, and because I work with plants, I decided I would make a piece featuring lots of flowers and leaves. I bought a deep frame (you can get them from most shops that sell frames) and used leftover brown and grey yarn to crochet a background to fit in the frame and on which I would be able to fix the plants I had chosen.

After the background was done, I “only” had to crochet flowers and leaves and add them to the frame! I also tried to organise them by colours, with reds and yellows at the top, and blue and pink at the bottom. I used different shades of green for the leaves, which I inserted between the flowers, and layered some of the plants to give more depth to the piece.

I’m really happy with how it turned out, if you’d like to make your own “Garden Growth” art piece, here is the list of all the elements I used, with patterns linked where available 🙂
- Poppies
- Sunflowers
- Ivy
- String of pearls
- Jacaranda flowers
- Lily pad
- Daisies
- Monstera leaves

- Pansies
- Dutch Iris
- Mandrake leaves

I hope you’ve enjoyed learning a bit more about how I created this crochet frame, and I’d love to see if you decide to make one of your own Don’t hesitate to reach out here, on social media, or by email, I love hearing from you!
